People With Aids

Why can't humans with AIDS have the option of suicide or euthanasia when they get sick?
They have no future either way.
They will have to have the option to kill them self.
This will control the disease.
People with AIDS already have the option of suicide now don't they?
"This will control the disease"....no, behaviour will control the disease.
Their future was grim in the 1980's but it is SO much more glorious now. I think it's worth sticking around to see if a heal is coming and worth seeing your family grow and change.
Once on a deathbed it doesn't matter what the impairment of normal physiological function is- cancer, AIDS, organ failure, heart issues and more- it's all sad.

For years the lemon has sat awkwardly among other fruits. As children we knew the lemon tasted bitter, and because of this, we ofttimes found ourselves drawn to it is queer mystique.
In recent years, the lemon has been used to control the disseminate of the HIV virus, and has been demonstrated in exploration studies to kill the HIV virus.
Dr Peter Piot of UNAIDS hailed the invention that the juice of the lemon kills HIV in the test tube, declaring: " UNAIDS would like to give you (Professor Roger Short and your 'LemonAIDS' team) each encouragement to pursue this stimulating new lead."
Keeping the liver healthful is a critical step in the health and recovery of both cancer persons who requires medical care and those with HIV / AIDS.
According to Dr Leo Roy MD, ND [Immune Perspectives], "No disease, peculiarly degenerative impairment of normal physiological functions including cancer and AIDS, could survive longer than a few weeks in the presence of a healthful liver."
A recent invention by those working with HIV / AIDS has found that combining the simple lemon with extra virgin olive oil and blending these together (with the lemon rind and seeds) and a glass and half of spring water, may and does construct amazing results, when drunk on a every day basis.
The lemon and the extra virgin olive oil, when taken together, act as a potent liver and gallbladder flush, detoxifying the liver, letting down biliruben levels, removing heavy metals, increasing the production of bile from the liver, stimulating lymphatic flow, and restoring the pH of your saliva, which in turn helps you to absorb the nutrients from the feed you eat.
The liver is veritably the master organ of the immune system, constructing chemicals to combat viruses (including the HIV virus) and bacteria, supporting phagocytic [immune function], and developing antihistamines to neutralize substances that publicize the growth of cancer. When the liver is not functioning in the right manner - and is over-blocked by toxins - the body's immune system is severely weakened leading to chronic illness. The lemon & extra virgin olive oil drink not only prevents chronic illness, but works to reverse it.
According to Mark Konlee from his paper How to Reverse Immune Dysfunction - "The immune scheme has two 'arms' - the TH1 and TH2 systems. They tend to be connected: when the one is strong, the other is weak, and visa versa. The Lemon / Extra Virgin Olive Oil drink has been reported to remainder the two arms of the immune system. This would aid in both suppressed immune scheme and autoimmune conditions (including HIV / AIDS and cancer)."
Restoring pH levels to normal alkaline levels of 7.0 or greater, is of tremendous importance for the cancer patient. Lemons are one of the most alkaline forming foods on the face of the planet, and when consumed on a regular each and everyday basis (especially with the rind and seeds), cause pH levels in the body to rise and become very alkaline, to levels quintessentially above 7.4 or greater, making it difficult for cancer cells to survive because of the amount of oxygen present. The majority of cancer people who are in need of medical care have acidic pH levels of underneath 6.5, meaning that normal cells are not competent to respirate or "breathe" properly. This causes cells to mutate and become cancerous. This invention was made by Nobel Prize winner Dr. Otto Warburg, who encountered that cancer cells only thrive in a low-oxygen state. In this way, the simple lemon may support to fight cancer.
The lemon & extra virgin olive oil drink likewise helps to lower and restore biliruben levels in those with liver cancer and liver disease. An elevated biliruben level is a key indicator of a damaged liver. Recently a patient of mine with liver cancer, who had a systematically high biliruben level of 36 (disqualifying her from chemotherapy), took for the primary time the lemon & extra virgin olive oil drink. She drank her firstborn and only drink on Thursday. Her biliruben levels had been measured 3 days before and were at the standard 36. She was tested on Friday (one day after her firstborn drink) and her biliruben level measured 28, then two days later it was measured, and it was at 22 (to a near normal level)! This normally skeptical woman was gobsmacked!
So the next time you find yourself walking past a lemon tree, consider how the simple lemon may and is beginning to wage the war versus two of the world's most desolating sicknesses - cancer and HIV / AIDS.

From Publishers Weekly
This extraordinarily moving volume tells the stories of 15 humans with AIDS (PWAs), laying bare the physical and psychicstet/rl devastation wreaked by the virus. The text comprises of firsthand accounts by the PWAs and various epilogue-like letters and affirmations by family and friends (all but one of the PWAs have died). Nixon's photos are uncompromisingly realistic, showing the progressive physical degeneration that is the disease's trademark. Most affecting are pictures of Tom Moran, a former alcoholic, whose boyish face and body project both childlike hopefulness and mature stoicism. Nixon's photo of Bob Sappenfield, lying in bed being hugged by his parents, his mother looking sweetly and sadly at the camera, his father with his eyes peacefully closed, expresses indestructible parental love. Ultimately, what makes this book so powerful are the words of the PWAs themselves, which articulate the wrenching aroused evolution undergone in an try to reach a plateau of peace. Tragically enough, for most of these men and women, peace is found only at death. Bebe Nixon is an Emmy Award-winning television documentary producer, and Nicholas Nixon is the author of Portraits of People.

From Library Journal
Nicholas Nixon, a well-known photographer who has been favorably equated to Walker Evans and Diane Arbus, started out to photograph AIDS people who are in need of medical care in the summer of 1987. The 15 men and women who appear in this book responded to Nixon's call for volunteers and chose to disclose themselves all around the stages of their illness. These photographs, which are accompanied by a text written by Bebe Nixon and feature the words of the subjects themselves, present dramatic visual proof of the ravages of AIDS. These are not gorgeous pictures but they are severe works of art; like any powerful photographic image, they arouse a strong response. The reader is seeing not cold impersonal stats but humane beings confronting their mortality. A remark made by one of the participants, George Gannett, is particularly telling: "I'm learning so much when it comes to how little experience any of us has with compassionateness for the suffering of another person." The Nixons have given us a compassionate and life-affirming work that serves as a visual documentary of what it means to have AIDS. Highly commended for public libraries and for special libraries with photography collections.

Review
Just as Nixon's unforgettable pictures of the very old staged a journeying into terrain toward which we inevitably move but seldom think about, these portraits of AIDS sufferers draw us into a shadowy place we may delude ourselves into thinking is not a destination in our "healthy" itineraries. --Owen Edwards, American Photographer
These images . . . are the most searing, sobering, and unforgettable photographs of Nixon's career. They may likewise be the most powerful images yet taken of the disaster that is AIDS. --Andy Grunberg, The New York Times
This extraordinary book is regarding fifteen people with AIDS. It is in regards to bravado and cowardice, style and weakness, honestness and self-deception, humor and bitterness. It is with regards to the endless longanimity with the banality of this world, and with regards to the rage that accrues as precious time slips away.
Nicholas Nixon's straightforward and uncontrived photographs combine with Bebe Nixon's faithful rendering of a myriad of conversations and letters, to make this a difficult and yet eminently essential work. This book is a description of a single event, the onslaught of acquired immune deficiency syndrome, and how it affected fifteen individuals, their families, and their friends. Each person in the book volunteered to work with the Nixons, and as the nature of the photographs and text make clear, the bonds that invented were powerful and intimate. A testament to a terrible cultural and physical phenomenon, this book is likewise a rare look at humanity as it faces the struggle of life and death.

These pictures are without mercy. They show us indeed an inconvenient truth, but wow, they are great pictures, to be looked at carefully.
