What kind of hearing aids in best for poor hearing?
I am almost 95 years old. Back in 1983, I was in a car accident and lost most of my hearing. I can only hear 4% in one ear and 15% in the other. I have been through many hearing aids and none have really helped me. I live with my daughter and she says that I am just dreaming and nothing will restore my hearing.
I really wish I would find a good brand? Is it possible that maybe a good brand does exist?

Do you think there the cure for HIV/AIDS is being hidden?
The medical industry makes billions in revenue from all the treatment they provide to people with the disease and all the doctors and other higher ups get big fat paychecks. A cure would ultimately defeat that purpose, effectively ending their limitless income.
That's the theory. Do you agree or disagree with it?
Disagree. As you stated, they make quite a lot of money because the treatment is SO expensive (Like 15000$ a year while producing it costs 350$). But being so expensive not many people use it. The cure would still cost a lot of money and would be bought by MUCH more governments and people. And finally there's the ethical factor, I know lots of drug companies lack it, but being the one that discovers the cure of AIDS would gain unending fame and quite an income not to release it for more money.

Is there anything I can do to aid my scoliosis treatment ?
I have mild scoliosis, and my chiropractor said that he could fix my problem by using a machine that gradually pulls the spine straight through a form of traction. My question is would yoga and natural muscle relaxants aid the process ? My thinking is that the looser the muscles the less resistance and the better the results. Am I just fooling myself ?
You're probably fooling yourself. If you have idiopathic (unknown cause) scoliosis, anything a chirpractor will do, machine or not, is temporary. Exercise, be it yoga, pilates, swimming, etc. is good for strengthening the core musches. Exercise won't make your curve better, although it will probably reduce your pain.
If you truly have mild scoliosis and you have no pain, there's probably nothing to do. You haven't given any information, though.
I'd like to know how old you are, if you are done growing or not, if you are seeing a scoliosis specialist, how many degrees does your curve measure, and if you are in pain.
I've posted the following a few times for other people with questions. I hope I'll answer the things that have you concerned.
You need to see a scoliosis specialist if you're not doing that already. A doctor that is not trained as a scoliosis specialist doesn't have the expertise to treat it.
Your scoliosis can be either caused by something else like maybe your legs have uneven lengths. Scoliosis can also be idiopathic, which means that it has an unknown cause.
Any curve under 10 degrees is considered normal and probably isn't monitored.
Curves from 10-25 degrees are mild but should be monitored, especially if you're still growing.
Curves from 25-40 degrees are moderate with bracing possible. You will need monitoring, especially if you're still growing.
Surgery may be recommended if your curve doesn't respond to bracing. Bracing will do no good if you're through growing. The purpose of a brace isn't to make your curve better, but rather to keep the curve from becoming worse.
Curves greater than 45 degrees is major. Surgery may be recommended. This depends on many things, but whether you're done growing, whether your curve is increasing, whether your heart and lungs are in danger of being squeezed by your curve, whether you're in pain, quality of life, etc.
Unfortunately, nothing can *fix* idiopathic scoliosis. Surgery can keep the curve from getting worse, and in most cases, will reduce the curve but most likely your spine won't be straight (unless you are very flexible in the area to be fused, then you might be lucky). There are cases where the surgery is less invasive than other cases, but having the usual posterior incision isn't too bad.
Chiropractors, message therapists, acupuncturists, etc., also can't fix idiopathic scoliosis. These people adjust the soft, connective tissues and that may (or may not, you can't tell ahead of time) make you feel better, but remember, idiopathic scoliosis is not a connective tissue disease. Your spine is growing curved.

Well we can sure help out. Education is a start. I've seen a lot of programs that already go on in Africa, I think more so in South Africa than the rest of the area. The education goes very far and it mostly provided at the colleges. There are programs that hand out condoms too and most schools have bins of free condoms in bathrooms that need to be refilled everyday because all the condoms are being taken (and hopefully used).
