Aids Research
Is there a website that sells silicone bracelets for which the proceeds go to AIDS research?

Similar to a Livestrong one. I have been looking all over the United Nations web sites for these bands but have not been competent to find one. Any support would be mainly appreciated.

This site:

For years the lemon has sat awkwardly amidst other fruits. As children we knew the lemon tasted bitter, and because of this, we ofttimes found ourselves drawn to it is peculiar mystique.

In recent years, the lemon has been applied to control the disseminate of the HIV virus, and has been demonstrated in exploration studies to kill the HIV virus.

Dr Peter Piot of UNAIDS hailed the invention that the juice of the lemon kills HIV in the test tube, declaring: " UNAIDS would like to give you (Professor Roger Short and your 'LemonAIDS' team) each encouragement to pursue this stimulating new lead."

Keeping the liver healthful is a critical step in the health and recovery of both cancer persons who requires medical care and those with HIV / AIDS.

According to Dr Leo Roy MD, ND [Immune Perspectives], "No disease, in particular degenerative sicknesses including cancer and AIDS, could survive longer than a few weeks in the presence of a healthful liver."

A recent invention by those working with HIV / AIDS has found that combining the simple lemon with extra virgin olive oil and blending these together (with the lemon rind and seeds) and a glass and half of spring water, may and does manufacture amazing results, when drunk on a each day basis.

The lemon and the extra virgin olive oil, when taken together, act as a potent liver and gallbladder flush, detoxifying the liver, letting down biliruben levels, removing heavy metals, increasing the production of bile from the liver, stimulating lymphatic flow, and restoring the pH of your saliva, which in turn helps you to absorb the nutrients from the feed you eat.

The liver is veritably the master organ of the immune system, manufacturing chemicals to combat viruses (including the HIV virus) and bacteria, supporting phagocytic [immune function], and fabricating antihistamines to neutralize substances that publicize the growth of cancer. When the liver is not functioning in the right manner - and is over-blocked by toxins - the body's immune scheme is gravely weakened leading to chronic illness. The lemon & extra virgin olive oil drink not only prevents chronic illness, but works to reverse it.

According to Mark Konlee from his paper How to Reverse Immune Dysfunction - "The immune scheme has two 'arms' - the TH1 and TH2 systems. They tend to be connected: when the one is strong, the other is weak, and visa versa. The Lemon / Extra Virgin Olive Oil drink has been reported to remainder the two arms of the immune system. This would aid in both suppressed immune scheme and autoimmune conditions (including HIV / AIDS and cancer)."

Restoring pH levels to normal alkaline levels of 7.0 or greater, is of immense importance for the cancer patient. Lemons are one of the most alkaline forming foods on the face of the planet, and when consumed on a regular each and everyday basis (especially with the rind and seeds), cause pH levels in the body to rise and become very alkaline, to levels specifically above 7.4 or greater, making it difficult for cancer cells to survive because of the amount of oxygen present. The majority of cancer persons who requires medical care have acidic pH levels of underneath 6.5, meaning that normal cells are not capable to respirate or "breathe" properly. This causes cells to mutate and become cancerous. This invention was made by Nobel Prize winner Dr. Otto Warburg, who came upon that cancer cells only thrive in a low-oxygen state. In this way, the simple lemon may aid to fight cancer.

The lemon & extra virgin olive oil drink likewise helps to lower and restore biliruben levels in those with liver cancer and liver disease. An elevated biliruben level is a key indicator of a damaged liver. Recently a patient of mine with liver cancer, who had a systematically high biliruben level of 36 (disqualifying her from chemotherapy), took for the basi time the lemon & extra virgin olive oil drink. She drank her primary and only drink on Thursday. Her biliruben levels had been measured 3 days before and were at the ordinary 36. She was tested on Friday (one day after her original drink) and her biliruben level measured 28, then two days later it was measured, and it was at 22 (to a near normal level)! This commonly skeptical woman was gobsmacked!

So the next time you find yourself walking past a lemon tree, consider how the simple lemon may and is beginning to wage the war versus two of the world's most ravaging sicknesses - cancer and HIV / AIDS.

With the help of the American people, the NIH yearly invests over $28 billion in medical research. More than 83% of the NIH's funding is awarded through closely 50,000 competitory grants to more than 325,000 researchers at over 3,000 universities, medical schools, and other exploration foundations in each state and around the world. About 10% of the NIH's budget supports projects conducted by almost 6,000 scientists in it is own laboratories, most of which are on the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland.

Improving Health and Saving Lives

Many important health and medical discoveries of the last century resulted from exploration supported by the National Institutes of Health. The NIH translates exploration results into interventions and communicates exploration conclusions to persons who requires medical care and their families, health care suppliers and the usual public. In part because of NIH research, our citizens are living longer and better. Life expectancy at birth was only 47 years in 1900; by 2000, it was closely 77 years.

In the past assorted decades, NIH-supported research, and it is national programs to commune the results of research, played a major role in accomplishments such as:

  • Death rates from heart disease and stroke fell by 40% and 51%, respectively, amid 1975 and 2000.
  • The overall five-year survival rate for childhood cancers rose to closely 80% for the duration of the 1990s from under 60% in the 1970s.
  • The number of AIDS-related deaths fell by in regards to 70% amongst 1995 and 2001.

The National Institutes of Health supports and conducts medical exploration to perceive how the humane body works and to gain clear or deep perception into innumerable diseases and disorders, from rare and strange sicknesses to more intimate ones like the mutual cold. It supports a wide spectrum of research, from learning how the brain becomes addicted to alcohol to combating heart disease. The NIH is at the forefront of new progression in medical research:

  • The sequencing of the humane genome set a new course for formulating ways to diagnose and treat diseases like cancer, Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimer's Disease, as well as rare diseases.
  • In response to the anthrax attacks of 2001, the NIH launched and expanded exploration to prevent, detect, diagnose, and treat sicknesses caused by potential bioterrorism agents.
  • New and bettered imaging proficiencies let scientists painlessly look inside the body and observe disease in it is earliest stages when it is often most efficaciously treated.
  • Researchers acutely pursue ways to make effective vaccines for deadly impairment of normal physiological functions like HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, and potential agents of bioterrorism.
  • Progress in understanding the immune system may lead to new ways to treat and heal diabetes, arthritis, asthma and allergies.
  • New, more precise ways to treat cancer are emerging, such as drugs that zero in on unnatural proteins in cancer cells.
  • Novel exploration methods are being developed that may discern the causes of outbreaks, such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), in weeks rather than months or years.

Scientific Leadership

In each state all over the country, the NIH supports exploration at hospitals, universities and medical schools. The NIH is training the current and next generation of researchers to ascertain that the capability to advance medical science remains strong. Many of these scientists-in-training will go on to become leading medical researchers and educators at universities; medical, dental, nursing, and pharmacy schools; schools of public health; non-profit health exploration foundations; and private medical exploration laboratories around the country.

As a Federal agency, the NIH considers some dissimilar perspectives in establishing exploration priorities. A very competitory peer-review scheme identifies and funds the most promising and most eminent quality exploration to address these priorities. This exploration includes studies that at last touch the lives of all people.

The NIH's own scientists, and scientists working with aid from the NIH grants and contracts, have been responsible for innumerable medical advances. More than 100 of these scientists have received Nobel Prizes in acknowledgement of their work.

At the forefront of research, the NIH focuses on current and emergent public health needs and promising areas of science. The NIH makes medical breakthroughs take place to improve people's health and save lives. http://www.nih.gov
