I would ask around about the going rate in your area, then find out if it's given to people with your qualifications. Your qualifications are better than average due to your age (being over 18), CPR/ped first aid certified, and a year of daycare experience.
Do not ask for less than minimum wage. However, if the teenagers locally are getting ten bucks an hour (as they are in my neighborhood) then ask for AT LEAST 12. You will surely get it. Unless the family is in financial straits and/or are friends or relatives... in that case, you may want to cut a deal, but still get at least minimum wage.
