Cancer, Diet and Global Warming With the Producer of Healing Cancer From the Inside Out

This consultation is an excerption from Kevin Gianni's Renegade Roundtable, which may be found at http://www.RenegadeRoundtable.com. In this excerpt, Mike Anderson shares on cancer, diet and global warming.

Renegade Water Secrets with Mike Anderson, is a medical researcher, author of The Rave Diet and film maker/producer of "Eating" and "Healing Cancer from the Inside Out."

Kevin: So, Mike. If all this stuff isn't working, what is?

Mike: Food. I internetsite a lot of studies in the film... the Office of Technology Assessment furnished the Gerson Therapy. It beat the pants off traditionalisti treatments. This was in dissimilar stages of melanoma. It just beat the pants off of traditionalisti treatments. They don't like these studies. They don't want to fund them. It's very hard.

Macrobiotics went in front of the NIH, National Institute of health and they tried to get funding because they staged six terminal cases, cancer cases, where the cancers were completely reversed. They were all biopsied and they were all confirmed and everything. Now, wouldn't you think that people must be fascinated in this? That they must fund more studies? No, they can't get any cash for anymore funding for any.

You know allopathic medicine doesn't, their history is to shut down any nutritional approach because they are so threatened by it. Even, this was around the turn of the century, 2001 or so. It's on the website, the Sushi Institute. Anyway, they're completely threatened because it does work. It is more effective. Instead of destructing the body, you're attempting to build it up.

I distinctively included Macrobiotics because they have a long history, 100- year history. In fact, the founder of Macrobiotics reversed cancer. But they have a long history of reversing cancers. So I look at Macrobiotics and that's almost 100% cooked. Then I look at raw, and that's 100% raw, uncooked. And I think the bottom line here is that, the mutual ground is that they are all plant-based, 100% plant-based. They are all organic. Organic is very, very necessary because organic feed is much higher in micronutrients, the anti-oxidant families. Those are the ones that are going to fight cancer effectively. It's a whole-foods organic diet and that's it. Whether it's raw or whether it's cooked is partly personal preference, in terms of case and stuff.

Kevin: You knew that this film was going to cause a good deal of waves. So, one, how did you prepare for it? Two, what kind of feedback have you gotten from humans who were not happy?

Mike: I in truth did not prepare very much for it. What I did was undertake and make it as creditable as I may and close the loop on all the arguments. To make it as tight as possible. I'll tell you a story. I don't recognise if Brian Clement wants me to tell this or not, he was interviewed in the film, but he and his wife watched it for seven hours, seven hours looking for a loophole. They were primarily looking at a lot of angle traditionalisti doctors could use to attack me and they couldn't find it. So my approach was just make it as tight as possible and as creditable as possible. As a result of that, I haven't had much negative feedback except that people don't want to talk to me.

I have been on KPFK, they are a nonprofit, local station here in L.A. I've been on there and they were very receptive and so was the audience. I mean, humans are hungry for this new. But getting it out there is very, very difficult.

People will say, "Oh, my gosh. You ought to be on major news shows," and stuff like that. And I say, "Well, have you looked at the sponsors of those news shows? They'll never have me on." You know, you've got meat and dairy and drugs and I'm preaching versus all of those. So, it's difficult to get it out, but word of mouth is extraordinarily strong; it's pushing this whole thing. And thanks to shows like your and others, more and more humans are getting on the bandwagon.

I was at the Raw Spirit Festival in Sedona this weekend and I had a lady and her husband come out, quintessentially to see me. They flew out from Tampa. And it was because they saw "Healing Cancer" a month ago. Her father started off with colon cancer, it disseminate to his liver, now it's in his lungs. He's had one round of chemo; he couldn't take it anymore. So they were looking for something. They put him on the diet and within a month all of his cancer markers had dropped dramatically. They were just thrilled by the whole thing. They wanted to fly out and just thank me because of it.

The strange thing is most persons they have it in their mind that cancer is this dreaded sickness that kills people. Well, you know, cardio vascular impairment of normal physiological function kills over twice as a great deal of people a cancer, that's a finelooking scary disease. But persons have it in their minds that cancer is more scary, but it's not. It may be controlled through food. People have this idea that, well, gee, cancer's a dangerous impairment of normal physiological function you need strong medicine. You need something that will make people's hair fall out and make them throw up all day for days on end and make them just sick. That's strong medicine. You need just the opposite. You need something that's going to build up the body. People, if they'll get off this toxic diet they're on and get on a good diet, they'll see miraculous things happening. Not just with cancer, but the whole body will be healing.

Kevin: Let's talk a little bit when it comes to the Rave diet. There's a lot of humans who are on this call who don't know what that is. So, let's give a little bit of info on that and...

Mike: OK. I wrote the book primarily because people were asking me for something to accompany the "Eating" DVD. Because after they see the "Eating" DVD, they'll say, "OK, I'm ready to modify my diet, but what do I do?" And even altho I list, at the end of the film, all kinds of books, and on the internetlocation even more, they wanted something from me. So, I put it together principally as a very short, it reads very easily, very short guide, if you will, to how to modify to this diet.

I have a transitional diet, too, because most times it's difficult for persons to go on the full Rave diet. So I have an requiring little effort transitional diet so they may evolve into it. One guy, for example, it was too much for him because he had been eating processed foods all of his life and he had frightening gas because of all the fiber. So I tell people, "Ease up on it. You may go slowly," you know, unless you have numerous terrible sickness you're fighting. But what it stands for, Rave is an acronym, it means no refined foods. The A is no animal foods, the V, which gets me in disturb with most persons all the time, means no vegetable oils; the E means no exclusions and exercise. There are a number of sub-rules within that. It's not just that acronym alone. Like, eat at least half of your feed uncooked type of thing. Also ingredients lists, it's got a whole comprehensible statement of how to read ingredient lists and so forth. But it's done very well.

Kevin: No oil. Let's talk regarding that.

Mike: OK. I got this primarily, started out if you look at Ornish, Essylstyn, Furman, a lot of doctors who actually reversed heart disease and have studies to prove it; they all specifically exclude vegetable oils. There are clinical studies, it tears up the arteries. Essylstyn says it's as good for your arteries as roast beef. If you look at nutrient scales, the key to a good diet is getting the greatest or most complete or best possible amount of nutrients per calorie that you can. If you look at vegetable oils, they have the lowest nutrient value of any feed on the planet. It's all fat, very few nutrient values per calorie on it.

It's a refined food, on top of it; the atoms in vegetable oils are unstable. They manufacture free radicals. It's a promoter of numerous cancers, exceptionally skin cancers, and on and on and on. So, I just say there are substitutes for it. If you're cooking and you want to brown potatoes or something, use applesauce or apple juice or vegetable broth or something. You have to cook it slower, but it browns just as good. So, that's the schtook on vegetable oils. I'm telling persons in the beginning with this, "Hey, you get on this you may reverse your heart disease." I'm not going to go versus all the doctors who have proven successfully

through tests that you may reverse heart disease. They all exclude the vegetable oils.

Kevin: Yeah, I think it makes sense to follow the exploration of persons that you have mentioned, like Furman and Essylstyn and these guys, rather of recreating the wheel on a theory.

Mike: Right, right. I have to follow; these guys are my heroes. I can't challenge them and I want to, if an individual comes out with a study of heart disease reversal which distinctively includes vegetable oils, then I'll take a second look at it, as will they. But so far that hasn't happened.

Kevin: Who do you think you've learned the most from?

Mike: Geez, I don't know. That's hard. Everyone's saying the same thing, essentially, in dissimilar ways and they're doing their own thing. In the beginning, there were John Robbins, the aroused aspect of it, environmental, in particular. He was huge. McDougall, he was huge, too. He was giving all this reinforcement to the health. Then, of course, Fuhrman and Ornish and a number of others, Esselston. I would say in all likelihood McDougall and, in the very beginning, McDougall and John Robbins.

Kevin: Great. You cited international warming, again, and I think we ought to probably talk regarding that because it was an added percentage of the film, "Eating." What are a heap of of the significances of the way we eat, as affiliated to global warming and the environment?

Mike: It's methane, that's the major thing that's been overlooked. I'm no expert in it, but what I did was summarize what the experts have said. It's hard for people to visualize this, but there are hundreds of millions of cows, and other livestock out there, that emit methane, both through the mouths and their rear ends. It goes into the atmosphere and methane is a powerful heat-trapper, much more powerful than carbon dioxide.

Carbon dioxide will stay in the atmosphere much longer, but methane in truth traps heat. Studies have shown that, in fact, methane has caused almost half of the international warming to-date. The number one source of methane is the animals we raise and at last eat. So, the good thing when it comes to methane is that it only stays in the atmosphere for eight years. If people would cut back on their consumption of animal products, you could recycle out very quickly. There could be a more prompt affect on global warming, on cooling. That's not going to happen, but, say, every one in the world cut back 1/3 of their meat consumption and scaled down the livestock accordingly. That could have a major affect on international warming, and rather soon. Whereas carbon dioxide that stays in the atmosphere for so long. It's not going to have such an prompt affect on it and that's what we need is an prompt impact, because we're right there, as they call the tipping point.

In the face of the progressively alarming global economic crisis, the Philippine government, as the institutional embodiment of the sovereign authority of the Filipino people, is challenged to fulfill it is constitutional mandate to protect the general welfare.

Debates over what government will have to do to save the economy are happening almost everywhere, from public offices and school classrooms to wet markets and barber shops. It is argued that it is through it is fiscal administrative power that government attempts to resuscitate the dying economy.

Public fiscal administration in general refers to the formulation, implementation and evaluation of policies and conclusions on taxation and revenue administration; resource allocation, budgeting and public expenditure; public borrowings and debt management; and accounting and auditing (Briones 1983:2).

The hope of seeing real economic progression seems to be dependent on the success of the whole fiscal policy process. Fiscal policy derives it is meaning and direction from the people's aspirations and goals which are said to be embodied in the Medium Term Philippine Development Plan.

"The basic task of the Medium Term Philippine Development Plan...is to fight poverty and build successfulness for the biggest number of the Filipino people. We will have to open up economic opportunities, maintain socio-political stability, and advertize good stewardship-all to make sure a better quality of life for all our citizens. We will focus on strategic measures and actions that will spur economic growth and create jobs. This may only be done with a mutual intention to put our economic house back in working order" (Arroyo 2004).

But the big question is: how does government carry out it is fiscal administrative function to in truth cushion the Filipinos from the averse effects of the onrushing global financial crisis?

The Fiscal Policy as a Political Process

Lying at the heart of public fiscal administration are the fiscal policies shaped by the socio-economic and political fundamental interaction of internal and external policy environment. Internal policy surroundings includes the decision-making agencies of government such as Congress, the Office of the President and it is help agencies, the National Economic and Development Authority, the Department of Budget and Management, the Department of Finance, and the Commission on Audit, amongst others. Internal environs also includes the private sector, interest groups, non-government organizations and people's organizations in the society.

The external policy environment, on the other hand, encompasses alien interest groups composed of international financial foundations like the World Bank (WB), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the Asian Development Bank, among others. Moreover, external policy environs includes the global agreements and economic joint operation such as the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), World Trade Organization (WTO), Asia and the Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), and originations that extend Official Development Assistance (ODA), amid others (Cuaresma 1996:46).

Professor Leonor Briones of the U.P. National College of Public Administration and Governance claims that "these alien interest groups prefer to maintain a low profile in local fiscal politics. They do not have to come out in the open anyway-the WB-IMF has regular consultations with Philippine officials due to the enormity of the Philippine public debt; the MNC's [multinational corporations] are represented by local dummies, and the alien creditors by their Filipino proxies. In the open political contest, these alien interest groups express their predilections by financially supporting their politicians. Where the local technocrats and bureaucrats are more significant in fiscal policy administration, they undertake to influence their nomination and appointment." (Briones 1983:97)

This only means that the financial health of the country is at the mercy of the international financial creditors and policy bodies that issue our fiscal prescription. While it is ofttimes argued by scholars that the field of public administration must not be political in it is very nature, fiscal administration as it is sub-field is not free from political determining the direction of travelling of as it is operating within the political system.

From the scholarly view of Professor Briones, fiscal policy has four major functions: (1) the percentage function, (2) the distribution function, (3) the stabilization function, and (4) the development function.

The major fiscal instrument in the portion function of fiscal policy is the national budget. In general, a national budget is the financial plan of the government for a given fiscal year, which shows what it is resources are, and how they will be generated and employed over the fiscal period. The budget is the government's key instrument for encouraging it is socio-economic objectives. The government budget also refers to the income, expenditures and origins of borrowings of the national government that are employed to achieve national objectives, schemes and programs.

In manufacturing countries like the Philippines, gaps amongst the rich and the poor are insurmountable. Thus, distribution of income and wealth is a severe problem. The distribution function might have severe significations for tax and expenditure policies. Recently, a report came out saying that the Department of Finance (DOF) planned to jack up the sales tax or value added tax (VAT) to 15 percent from the current level of 12 percent to raise much-needed revenue to plug the country's ballooning budget deficit which hit a record P298.5 billion last year (Agcaoili 2010).

The report makes the fiscal argues even more heated as the issue of stability, another function of fiscal policy, is now the subject of concern. Often, government resorts to increasing taxes to have the means of public spending or stay clear from budget deficit. But it is known to a lot of the myriad tradeoffs it may create.

People often listen in the news the fiscal plans produced by government all in the name of "development," another function of fiscal policy. Perhaps, this word is the most overused, if not abused, word in the political arena.

Development is multi-faceted. The word itself is nice to the ear. But it is a "very highpriced commodity" in the words of Professor Briones. In order to translate development into reality, financing is, of course, needed. In concordance with other measures, fiscal policies are expected to generate resources in order to finance development activenesses (Briones 1983:55). In loan-dependent countries like the Philippines, generating resources means borrowing more and paying even more.

Over one third of our national budget goes to debt servicing. With the widening fiscal deficit, the national government's debt now amounts to P4.42 trillion, accounting for more than half of it is GDP and more than three times the government revenues if creditors were to call the debts in. The Philippines relies to a great extent on domestic and alien borrowings to bridge it is fiscal gap, which is expected to hit a record P325 billion this year (abs-cbnNEWScom).

The Challenging Economic Environment

Borrow more. Tax more. Pay more. It is a vicious cycle. It is without a doubt that the Philippines, the then mighty tiger in Asia, has transformed into a desperate pussycat roared by the giant financial foundations to which we are to a considerable degree indebted. The Filipino people become victims of immoral and debilitating conditionalities imposed by the IMF and the international financial oligarchy.

The economic circumstance becomes even more difficult as the world is facing what a heap of economists describe as the worst economic crisis in history. The credit crisis in the US has sped the rate of financial meltdown all over the world, making the global lending originations more eager than ever to strength to a great extent indebted countries like the Philippines to extract a pound of flesh from their people. The national government's total indebtedness has ballooned as a result of sudden and sharp currency dispraise for the duration of this critical time of global economic uncertainties.

In response to minimizing the affect of the global economic downturn, the Philippine government embarks on measures aimed at stimulating positive performance in all spheres of society. Former Socioeconomic Sec. Ralph G. Recto, for example, proposed stimulus package intended to keep the economy afloat. As a consequence, Economic Resiliency Plan (ERP) was put in place to supposedly manage to sustain economic growth by fiscal policy adjustments alongside the implementation of pump-priming programs and critical projects and activities.

The former NEDA Chief merely argues that the government intends to battle the present crisis by increasing spending through what he calls stimulus package-a fiscal and monetary scheme that is very Keynesian in nature. The ERP fundamentally entails "ensuring resources through better revenue collection; enhancement of cash liquidity, access to credit and low interest rates; and more effective spending. It seeks to assure stable growth, save and give rise to jobs, provide assistance to the most vulnerable sectors, see to it low and stable prices, and improve competitiveness in preparation for the international economic rebound" (Recto 2009).

This stimulus package, however, is a mere pain reliever. It doesn't heal the cancer, which is the crisis itself. A major surgery operation, therefore, is needed.

Think out of the Box: A Fiscal Strategy for the General welfare

"There's life after the IMF."

These are the words of then President Nestor Kirchner of Argentina when he defied the predatory financial foundations that enforced belt-tightening measures on his people.

The newly elected Philippine President Noynoy Aquino will have to do the same. He must have the courage to disassociate himself from the deceptive bequest of "honor all debts" policy of his mother. The established government action plan for debt management such as bond exchanges, maximizing the use of ODA, warrantees for GOCCs, and more borrowings, will not create lasting economic growth.

The Philippines, as an independent nation, with all dignity and courage, ought to consequently announce a moratorium on alien debt payments. This will concede our country sufficient time to rebuild and exaggerate our procreative physical economy.

Through this fiscal strategy, the country may channel big amount of it is annual budget, rather to debt servicing, towards effective instructional system, effective healthcare system, and sustainable scientific exploration centers focalized on feed production, health maintenance, and industry. Consequently, this will give hope or courage to real investment into agro-industrial and fabricating spheres and make sure a authenti path towards development.

To severely participate in the global crusade to save the world's economy, the Philippine government will have to join the growing global call for a new financial scheme of fixed interchange rates. This new financial system is said to put an end to the financial tsunami hitting practically all nations in the world today. Proposals are made by the Governments of Italy, Argentina, Malaysia and a growing number of countries, institutions, statesmen and patriots aiming at altering the international financial structure based on the tradition of the Bretton Woods Agreement of 1945 (Philippine LaRouche Society 2004)

The issue of fiscal policy amid global crisis is without doubt a very complex and thought-provoking issue. The crisis, which we now face as a nation, requires intellectual understanding of the problem and courageous act to do what is right for the gain of the present and future Filipino generations.

5Beats Solo HD are exactly as expected: High-quality, Portable On-Ear Headphones with Mic
    By Michael K Owens
SHORT VERSION: Highly recommended. Great audio quality for on-ear headphones. Highly portable and convenient to store. More comfortable than most on-ear cans. Works great as a headset for both the iPhone 3GS and iPad.

LONG VERSION: The Beats by Dr Dre Solo HD (RED) headphones are exactly what I expected: high-quality, portable on-ear headphones with an above average mic. At the time of writing, the only other review on Amazon gives these a 3-star rating and compares the headphones to the Beats by Dr. Dre Studio edition over-the-ear headphones. The problem with that is the two headphones serve completely different purposes. The "Studio" edition headphones are meant primarily for audiophiles who aren't going to be wearing them on the bus/subway or walking around the city, as--like the name suggests--they're studio headphones which are meant for stationary audio consumption (generally indoors). By contrast, the "Solo" line is just the opposite. While they're not nearly as portable as in-ear headphones like those that come with the iPhone or , they make listening to music during a commute on the bus/subway much more tolerable than the tinny sound that you get from the baseline Apple headset. If I were looking to buy a pair of stationary audio consumption headphones, I'd be buying a pair of over-the-ear (or on-ear powered) headphones. Now that I'm done ranting about the previous review, let me give you my take on the Beats by Dr Dre Solo HD (RED):

My Use Case: I commute from around the Haight in San Francisco to around 2nd and Market with about 10 minutes of walking and about 20 minutes on the bus. I am an audiophile tech geek who rarely is not listening to music either on my iPhone, iPad, or Macbook Pro; if I am without one of those three devices, it probably means I'm not interested in listening to music, or I'm at a concert, so take into account that 1) I am an Apple fanboy who is willing to pay a little extra for high-quality products and good design aesthetics, and 2) I commute approximately 10-12 hours a week.

My Previous Cans: My previous on-ear headphones are the Grado SR125s, which I replaced because 1) they don't have a mic, 2) the cord is too long, 3) one of the cans now has a slight bit of static from an unfortunate fall off my desk. If it weren't for points 1 and 2, I'd likely have just gotten those again and continued swapping them out with my iPhone headset every time I needed to answer the phone or make a call. I'm very glad that I investigated on-ear cans that have both a mic and remote on the wire, as I would have likely never considered these headphones without those features mostly because of the higher cost. It should also be noted that SR225s (which are roughly the same price as the Beats by Dr Dre Solo HD) sound slightly better than the Beats but are not nearly as portable and lack the mic/remote.

    - Price vs Quality (5 stars): These headphones are expensive. There's no denying that. You pay a premium for Dr. Dre's name, the Monster brand, and the fact that a portion of the sale is donated to charity; however, the fact is that my previous pair of on-ear headphones (the SR125s) were about $60 cheaper, but they did not sound as good, were not nearly as convenient of a product, and were significantly less stylish (if you care about that sort of thing).

    - Audio Quality (4 stars): They're not over-the-ear headphones and there is no powered noise reduction, so the music will be slightly less crisp (especially on softer/higher music) and there will be slightly more noise (but not much, especially if you listen to music at a "moderate" volume [i.e. 50% on the iPhone/iPad's Headphones volume meter] like I do). When I'm listening to music on these, I cannot hear people talking to me. With my previous pair, I was often having to turn the volume up to drown out the noise if listening to podcasts or softer music. Now, I don't have to do so. The complaint that these headphones have a "muddy" sound is the same complaint that every pair of headphones that aren't over-the-ear headphones get when someone who is used to over-the-ear headphones reviews them. The Beats Solo (not HD) admittedly did suffer a bit moreso with this problem than most on-ear headphones, but the Beats Solo HD (RED) seem to have corrected this slight issue. If Audio Quality is the sole motivator for your headphones and you're looking to spend $200, you may want to look into over-the-ear headphones instead, as similarly priced over-the-ear headphones will provide a noticeably better Audio Quality.

    - Portability (5 stars): This is one of the two features that drew me to this product (the other is the mic/remote that is compatible with my iPhone 3GS and iPad). The fact that the headphones break down separately into the cans and the wire combined with the folding capability of the cans makes these headphones invaluable if you want a pair of on-ear headphones you can easily stow when you get to work or at a function where it would be improper to be wearing cans on your head or around your neck. The little pouch that is bundled with them simply sweetens the deal, as these would get 5 stars in Portability regardless of an included pouch.

    - Built Quality (4 stars): While I've only had the headphones for a couple of months, there is no difference in the paint job, the padding, or any of the other components that can often deteriorate with frequent use. It does get one star removed because the band does feel a bit brittle by comparison to previous headphones that I have owned, and I feel like I need to be more careful with them because of it. I haven't had any problems so far, but if you're expecting to be rough on your cans, you may want to look elsewhere.

    - Comfort (4 stars): Compared to my previous pairs, these are just a bit above average. I don't think I'd want to wear these all day, every day, as the fit is a little bit tighter than I'd like it to be, I don't notice it during my normal use case (~35-50 minutes of use at a time). The band's tightness has loosened up a bit over the last couple of months of use, so now I'd be more willing to wear them for longer periods of time than during the breaking in period. I wear a size 7-7.5 hat, which is pretty big, so I've had this issue with most headphones. The ear padding, on the other hand, has not changed at all and is significantly better than all previous cans I've owned.

    - Style (5 stars): I love red. I won't lie that when I see items by PRODUCT(RED), I smile. It isn't a driving factor in my purchases, but it definitely is a consideration. These cans are sleek, polished, and very attractively designed products. They're definitely an eye-catching accessory both because of their color and the overall look.

    - Microphone Quality (4 stars): This was an important part of my decision to get these headphones. My Apple iPhone headset has always treated me very well as a microphone (although it has always lacked as headphones). Before purchasing, I did a side-by-side comparison recording voice notes with the two microphones (as well as a Bluetooth wireless headset). The Solo HD (RED) headphones produced easily the best quality recording, but the volume was a bit lower than I expected because the placement of the microphone is a little bit higher up and further off to the side than the Apple microphone (the Bluetooth wireless headset sounded like crap by comparison to both so I won't bother comparing it). This form factor decision is the main reason that it gets 4 stars. The other reason is because I've had better sounding microphones from V-moda on their in-ear headsets.

5I was skeptical due to the bad reviews, needless to say they're all totally wrong.

When I went on a journey to find a pair of 200 dollar or less headphones that delivered on all of the things I was looking for..it wasn't an easy task needless to say.

I wanted things such as form factor, sound quality, clear and crisp bass while keeping those guitar notes and drums drums intact, and most of all decent looks.

Not many headphones seemed feasible. Too many in this price range and above are far too large for the average listener. These headphones were a godsend for me. They gave me everything I wanted that I listed above and then some. After reading so many negative reviews on how these headphones were terrible while wating for them to arrive in my excitement, I started to doubt them. Being a previous owner of the beats pro, and the beats studio I had a general idea of monster quality before, and unlike people say. They are NOT overpriced at all, in fact they're one of the best deals ou there for headphones right now. The only people out there that truly bash these headphones, and sadly the majority of the headphone reviewers on Amazon, are elitist self-deemed "audiophiles" that just snub any headphone that doesn't deliver frequencies that the human ear can't even hear to begin with and simply aren't reliable sources to trust for anyone that has a life outside of sitting at a desk listening to music all day.

THESE HEADPHONES DELIVER REAL WORLD PERFORMANCE FOR THE AVERAGE USER! I'm talking someone that values sound quality, values build quality and reliability, and most of all wants to use their headphones in everyday situations and uses. These headphones are for anyone that doesn't spend their entire life behind the audio, and moreso values the entertainment above all else. The sound quality is phenomenal and the only people that would disagree would be those self-rightous audiophiles that think they have to have the best and have to make false claims to bad performance to justify their things as such.

So don't listen to all of the reviewers here and give these babies a try and I promise you won't be disappointed. Go to your local Best Buy and try these bad boys out if you don't believe me, and then come back to Amazon to make your purchase.

Thank you for your time, I hope I've helped at least someone out.

    1Good One, Monster.

Let me start off by saying, these headphones are absolutely ridiculous for the price. At $200, I can think of 3 cans right off the bat that I'd rather have than these at a fraction at the price (Audio Technica ATH-M50, Shure E2C, V-Moda Crossfade M-80)

Sound Quality: 4/10 - Face it, there's bass, bass, and more bass. The bass impact is great and all, but it seems like everything under 20kHz is lifeless, what some refer to as one-noted bass. Imagine every low range sound being replaced by one note of bass - that's what they've provided here with the Beats. The mid-range is alright, but it feels recessed and lifeless compared to most other cans I've listened to. The high range is just as muddy as Skullcandy Ink'd buds - and both the mids and highs are covered up by the bass. The soundstage is good by the casual listener's standards, but compared to other on-ear open cans at the price range, you can do much, much, better.

Build Quality/Design: 8/10 - These new red Solos are a step up from the outdated version that was completely prone to breaking. These headphones look nice and have some pretty decent street cred (for whatever reason) but that's usual in anything made by Skullcandy or Monster.

Price/Quality Ratio: 5/10 - If these are $200, you can get better overall sound quality from cans by Grado, like the SR80i - looks bad, sounds amazing (basically the opposite of Beats). The tight soundstage, lack of imaging, and overall bad sound quality had me baffled at why people purchase this product. In my opinion, the name and look of these 'phones do not justify a $200 purchase.

Recommended? - No: The only advantage I see to these cans is that they work well with mainstream music genres - hip hop, rap, dubstep, etc.) But, if sheer bass is really what you truly want, take a view at Sony's XB (Extra Bass) line of headphones. They have much better soundstaging, imaging, and bass quality than these, and they go for much cheaper. If you're lookig for good sound quality instead of earthquakes going on during songs, look at audiophile brands like Sennheiser, Grado, AKG, Shure, and Audio Technica.

Overall/tl;dr - 6/10: Fashion accessory, not so good for music. Sound quality falters behind other headphones at its price range, but it does look nice.

    ---------------------

Also, if you think my review is on a fake product, it isn't. I've also auditioned Beats at the Apple store and Microsoft Store; same sound.

Please, listen to this review and do yourself a favor. Do NOT cave in and buy them because you think I'm not right; just give my review some thought, and THEN go buy a different set of headphones
