Composed by John Lennon & Paul McCartney Natalie Cole (1950-) is the daughter of the late pop/jazz/R&B musician Nat King Cole and former Duke Ellington singer Maria Cole. She has been a recording artist since 1975. She was diagnosed with the liver disease hepatitis C in 2007, and in July of 2009 received a kidney transplant. She plans on touring again in late 2009. Her version of The Beatles' "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" went to #53 on the American R&B charts in 1978.
