Why was AIDS considered only a homosexual disease?
Obviously AIDS is not, in fact, only a homosexual disease, and I am in no way saying that.
But, why was it said to be only gays who could spread/ receive this? How was it brought to America?
U.S. stats show, of course, that both gay men and straight men have HIV, and that both men and women are infected. But statistically speaking, how "gay" is the disease?
In 2005 (the latest year for national numbers), the biggest ratio of approximated new HIV/AIDS diagnoses were for men who have sex with men (MSM), followed by adults and adolescents infected through heterosexual contact. (The CDC reports it is numbers as "estimated," which we will drop in this article for the sake of simplicity.)
For that year, there were 28,037 new HIV diagnoses in men, and 9,893 in women.
Of the males, the greatest risk element -- for 18,785 of them -- was men who have sex with men (or MSM, a term that covers this group whether they consider themselves gay or not).
This means that half of all new HIV diagnoses, and two-thirds of all male diagnoses, were in MSM
The earliest known case of infection with HIV-1 in a humane was deleted in a blood sample accumulated in 1959 from a man in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. (How he became infected is not known.) Genetic analysis of this blood sample suggested that HIV-1 may have stemmed from a single virus in the late 1940s or early 1950s.
We recognise that the virus has existed in the United States since at least the mid- to late 1970s. From 1979–1981 rare types of pneumonia, cancer, and other diseases were being reported by doctors in Los Angeles and New York amongst a number of male persons who requires medical care who had sex with other men. These were conditions not commonly found in persons with healthful immune systems

Some researchers say that virus related to HIV is found in monkeys in Africa. Taste of childhood

Here is a great way to get that tast of your childhood without all the sugar.
Even without blood sugar problems i want to cut back on any excess sugar.
This allows you to have a drink option (other than water) with a perky taste that
is low calorie and sugar free.
Parents dont tell the kids and just serve it, they will never know the diffrence.

We absolutely love the sugar free cherry Kool-Aid but have a very hard time finding it in stores.
